今天我们来聊一聊时间time的表达。关于time的表达真的超级多，比如我们之前也分享过的high time，表示该是时候做某事了。
其实，time的搭配很简单，也很好用，所以如果能够好好的记一下，应该对你的口语提升会有一定的帮助哟！
1）time off
我们知道Time’s up表示“时间到了”，那“time off”是什么意思呢？
off常用于表示离开，脱离；那time off就表示是时候离开了，所以time off表示：take a holiday from work——是时候停止工作去度个假了。
跟它相对应的是我们的节假日或者是每周的休假日，我们也可以要叫做day off。
英语例句：① He has to take time off because of heavy pressure.
由于压力太大，他不得不休假。
2）Only time will tell
这句话咔咔觉得非常的有意境，Only time will tell means we can not find out the truth or the answeryet but we can wait and then we will find out in the future。
现在有可能我们找不到答案，找不到解决方法，但是随着时间的推进，我们总会找到答案的，时间会告诉你真相，时间会告诉你一切的，这就是Only time will tell。
英语例句：① Only time will tell whether you made the right decision.
只有时间才能证明你的决定是否正确。
3）Time heals all wounds
其实从字面意思大家也能猜到，时间能够治愈所有的伤痕。
Our feelings or hurts will leave us as time passes by。
这句话一般用于描述一些emotional hurt——情感上的受伤，一般不用于physical hurt——身体上的伤害。
英语例句：① I know it's hard to let it go, but time heals all wounds.
我知道放手很难，但时间会治愈一切伤痛。
4） Turn back the hands of time
这句话是说“把时钟的手给掰回来”，hand在这里其实是“指针”的意思，因此，它的实际含义是：If I could go back to the past，如果我能够回到过去。
因为是假设，而且不可能实现的事情，它经常用于虚拟语气的表达，比如这个英语例句：
① If I could turn back the hands of time, I wouldn't have done it.
如果我能让时间倒流，我就不会这么做了。
* I wouldn’t have done表示我那个时候不会做某事。（用于对过去的虚拟语气）
